Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, born in Houston on September 4, 1981, known simply as Beyoncé, is an American singer-songwriter, producer, actress, director, designer and businesswoman.

In her hometown, she entered various singing and dancing competitions as a child and rose to fame in the late 1990s as the lead vocalist for the R&B girl group Destiny's Child. Led by their father, Mathew Knowles, they became one of the best-selling girl groups in history. Beyoncé took a break from music in 2010 and took over managing her career; their fourth album 4 (2011) was in a softer tone, exploring 1970s funk, 1980s pop, and 1990s soul.

Her fifth studio album, Beyoncé (2013), was critically acclaimed and distinguished from her previous releases by its experimental production and exploration of darker themes. His sixth album, Lemonade (2016) also received acclaim from critics, who called it his most personal and political work to date and became the second best-selling album of 2016 worldwide. He later released Everything Is Love (2018), a collaborative album with Jay-Z, jointly credited as The Carters.

A self-described "contemporary feminist," Beyoncé's songs are often characterized by themes of love, relationships, and monogamy, as well as sexuality and female empowerment. The Recording Industry Association of America recognized Beyoncé as America's number one certified artist for the 2000s.

She was also included in Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2013 and 2014. On March 14, 2021 during the Grammy Awards ceremony, she made history by becoming the most awarded female artist in history. with a total of 28 prizes. That same year she was included in the list of the 200 most influential artists of the last 25 years by the American publication Pitchfork.



On June 9, 2022, Beyoncé deleted her profile pictures on several of her social media platforms, leading to speculation that she would be releasing new music.

Days later, Beyoncé sparked further speculation via her nonprofit BeyGood Twitter account, hinting at her upcoming seventh studio album.

On June 15, Beyoncé officially announced her seventh studio album, Renaissance.

The album was released on July 29, 2022.

On June 21, 2022, he released the album's lead single, "Break My Soul".
